Modernity and the Muslim: one of the most important discussions Muslims can engage in, including discourses about the birth of modernity, its meaning to the conduct of human affairs, and its implications for posterity. Yet tragically, many Muslims don’t recognize the need to engage in these discussions. Muslims—as well as most moderns—are thus left with little understanding of the conceptual and intellectual underpinnings that distinguish the age in which we live.
Hikma seeks to provide individuals with the intellectual tools that will enhance their understanding of Islamic tradition in the context of contemporary and enduring issues.
